A New York appeals court on Monday denied Russian businessman Viktor Bout, accused by the United States of agreeing to supply Colombian militants with weapons, a new trial, Bout's lawyer Alexey Tarasov said, Sputnik reports.
Tarasov added that Bout's defense team does not rule out an appeal to the US Supreme Court for a new trial.
"The court ruling was made today morning, and it was negative," Tarasov said. "We find the ruling unjust and disagree with it," he said.
