Lieutenant General Namig Islamzada has been appointed Azerbaijan's Deputy Defense Minister - Commander of the Air Force by the relevant decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
In May, former Azerbaijani Air Force Commander Ramiz Tahirov was relieved of service due to reaching the age limit for military service.
