Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has appointed Shamukhammet Durdylyev as the mayor of the capital city Ashgabat, AzerNews reported citing the Golden Age online newspaper.
Berdimuhamedov also dismissed Durdylyev as the deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the presidential administration.
Mammetniyaz Nurmammedov, who earlier served as the minister of municipal services, was named the head of the presidential administration.
