A new overpass at the crossroads of Tsintsadze-Kartozia streets in Saburtalo district of Tbilisi will be built in order to offload road traffic in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi City Hall said.
The implementation of the 2,700,000 GEL (about $1,106,557) project will take five months.
Furthermore, 140 trees will be planted in the area as well to retain the proportion of greenery to cement.
"Traffic-jams are one of the problems that Tbilisi faces and such infrastructural projects are very important to solve them," Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, who visited the construction site yesterday, said.
A two-lane overpass will be constructed at the crossroads of Tsintsadze-Kartozia streets, which will ensure safe and traffic-free movement, Agenda.ge reported.
