According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kabardino-Balkaria, the collection of berries and fruits in the region increased by almost a third last year.
In total, more than 680 thousand tons of berries and fruits were harvested in the KBR for 12 months. This figure exceeded the result of 2021 by 27%, when about 535 thousand tons were collected.
The vast majority of last year's harvest is made up of apples and pears (over 635,000 tons, or 93%). About 7% more (or 39 thousand tons) fell on apricots, sweet cherries, cherries and plums.
To date, the share of the republic in the all-Russian gross harvest of berries and fruits is as much as 16%.
