The new unit of the Yerevan TPP will replace the obsolete third block of the Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant with a capacity of 400 MW, Hayk Harutyunyan, the Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia said.
The Deputy Minister reminded that the Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant will be closed in a year, if its owner refuses the reconstruction and does not work for export.
"At the moment, the third block of the Hrazdan TPP is not included in our plans for further ensuring of the domestic demand," ARKA quotes Harutyunyan as saying.
