It is planned to build a wind power plant in Astana, its capacity will be 50 MW first, then more than 100 MW.
Wind power plants will be built at the expense of foreign private funds, the issue is being worked out jointly with representatives of the Italian oil and gas company ENI (LLP "Arm Wind") and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic, Altai Kulginov, mayor of the capital of Kazakhstan said .
The cost of the project is 50 billion tenge. It will create an additional significant amount of electricity. The project's feasibility study is currently underway.
