CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha will visit Tajikistan on August 18-19. During the working visit he will discuss issues regarding strengthening the border with Afghanistan.
"During the meeting of Nikolai Bordyuzha with the leadership of the republic, implementation of priorities of Tajikistan during its chairmanship in the Collective Security Treaty Organization this year, as well as the question of providing military-technical assistance to strengthen the Tajik-Afghan border will be discussed," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported.
The CSTO promises to help and support the Tajik Defense Ministry and border guards in strengthening the longest border in the CIS with Afghanistan — 1344 km.
