No "Omicron" in Azerbaijan

The new Covid-19 strain "omicron" did not penetrate into Azerbaijan, Deputy Minister of Health of Azerbaijan - acting head of the department Teymur Musayev said at the briefing of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Nevertheless, he noted, the omicron is already spreading in neighboring countries, so its arrival in the country is a matter of time, Sputnik Azerbaijan writes.

Musayev clarified that at the moment there is no need to impose restrictions, but if the situation worsens, the authorities will have to take restrictive and preventive measures.
