No plans to introduce martial law in Armenia

No martial law will be imposed in Armenia at this stage, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a government meeting on Friday.

Pashinyan said the situation remains tense, and the feasibility and necessity of imposing martial law in Armenia was discussed by the Security Council. "We came to the conclusion that at the moment we should not impose it," he said.

The prime minister noted that citizens who want to volunteer for the defense of the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity can apply to the military commissariats.

Pashinyan also said that the number of the Armenian servicemen killed in an escalation of tensions with Azerbaijan amounted to 135 people, many were wounded.
