At today's meeting on the development of the republic of Ingushetia headed by Vladimir Putin, the management of Minkavkaza took the initiative to develop the real sector of economy instead of putting all of its efforts into the social sphere.
The Head of the Ministry, Lev Kuznetsov, said that ‘‘starting from 2017 in all the republics of the North Caucasus Federal District, including Ingushetia, focus will be put on the real sector of the economy in the framework of the state programs because, because it must create its own revenue base for the development of the social sphere."
However, the minister urged not to take him too literally in respect of spending in the social sphere.
"This does not mean that we propose abandoning the acute social problems, but the real sector of the economy should be dominant, especially today, when the Government has announced a crisis plan and a coherent program of import substitution,’’ he said.
Lev Kuznetsov expressed the opinion that Ingushetia has every opportunity: both manufacturing and industry and historic agriculture take their place not only in the economy of the region, but also in the economy of Russia, RIA Novosti reports.
Ingushetia can overcome the current difficulties using its industrial and agricultural potential more actively, the President said.
"It is obvious that the key to solving many problems is better use of the industrial and agricultural potential of the country,’’ he said, adding that the current situation provides new opportunities for the development of production and use of new markets.
The head of state added that last year the federal budget sent 4.3 billion rubles, and 4.2 billion rubles his year. "Maybe even get a little more," Putin said, explaining that next year the republic will receive 4.4 billion rubles.
The Ingush authorities must conduct a more active search for additional investments, as well as work to improve the business climate of the country, Vladimir Putin noted at the meeting.
President pointed out the strengthening of the material base of the healthcare system in Ingushetia, as well as noting that a modern perinatal center is to be created in Nazran by next year, but the construction is off schedule.
The President said that the opening of new social, sports and cultural institutions are especially significant for the region. "People should have all conditions for quality healthcare and education, recreation, sporting activity, as well as interesting and varied leisure activities."
