North Ossetia celebrates holiday in honor of St. George

Today residents of North Ossetia are celebrating the St. George holiday, the patron saint of Ossetia. The celebration started on Sunday and it will last till the end of the week.

"This is a unique holiday. It is no coincidence it became popular a long time ago. It is celebrated in almost every family of our country in honor and tribute to the best traditions of the Ossetian people,'' the head of the republic Tamerlan Aguzarov said.
