An earthquake measuring 7 points on the Richter scale in the epicenter and up to magnitude 6.5 in residential areas nearby was recorded in the Sheki district of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences' Republican Seismological Service said.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 13 kilometers, APA reports. No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
