Over 27 victims of terrorist attack near business center in Ankara

A terrorist attack has take place in the Turkish capital near the Kızılay business center.

The explosion occurred at 19:45 MSK on Sunday at a bus stop near the public garden Güvenpark in the heart of the Turkish capital in a large crowd of people. According to media reports, the explosion led to numerous victims and injured. It should be noted that the epicenter of the explosion was 200 meters from the office of Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu.

The Ankara authorities have already confirmed that the explosion occurred after the collision of a car with a bus. The explosion was so strong that it burned out several cars and nearby buildings were damaged.

It is assumed that one of the cars belonged to terrorists and it was packed with explosives. The Russian Embassy has no data on casualties or injuries among Russians, RIA Novosti reports.

According to recent data, the number of victims has reached 27 people, 75 people are injured. The center of Ankara is now blocked off by police. Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced the convening of an urgent meeting of the Security Council of the country in connection with the attack in the capital.

According to a representative of the Turkish security forces, at the moment no terrorist organization has taken responsibility for the attack.
