The annulment of the contract between Gazprom and Saipem will not affect the Turkish Stream gas pipeline project, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said.
"The project is continuing. We continue working with our Turkish partners to reach intergovernmental agreements. This is a technical issue being discussed between Gazprom and commercial firms," Interfax cited him as saying.
Asked whether the annulment would affect the pipeline construction schedule, Novak said that no dates have been set. "We are working in 'the sooner the better' mode," he said.
