Russia sees no obstacles to Denmark granting permission to build the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"We believe that Denmark’s permission should be given, there are no obstacles for this. For example -implementation of the first Nord Stream," TASS cited him as saying.
The second branch of the Nord Stream matches the first in terms of environmental safety, Novak noted.
The Energy Minister noted that the United States is making serious efforts to stop implementation of this commercial project.
