Kazakhstan proposed to organize a nuclear security summit in Astana, Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov said at a meeting with the UN General Assembly Chairman Miroslav Lajcak in New York, press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.
Abdrakhmanov also told Lajcak about the initiatives of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, voiced during the opening ceremony of the IAEA's Low Enriched Uranium Bank, which was held in late August.
