Coronavirus cases in Armenia grew by 259 in the past twenty-four hours to 38,196, the republic’s Health Ministry reported.
"In the past twenty-four hours, 259 new coronavirus cases were identified. To date, 28,366 people have recovered from the disease while the total number of infected people stands at 38,196," the statement says.
Five coronavirus patients died at Armenian hospitals in the past day, bringing fatalities to 728 since the start of the pandemic in the republic, the latest data indicate.
Armenia extended a state of emergency because of the coronavirus outbreak until August 12.
