Coronavirus cases in Armenia grew by 197 in the past twenty-four hours to 44,075, the republic’s Health Ministry reported.
"In the past twenty-four hours, 197 new coronavirus cases were identified. The total number of infected people stands at 44,075," the Armenian media cited the statement as saying.
Three coronavirus patients died at Armenian hospitals in the past day, bringing fatalities to 884 since the start of the pandemic in the republic, the latest data indicate.
Armenia extended a state of emergency because of the coronavirus outbreak until September 11.
