UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov moved up one place in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) ranking, according to the official website.
Nurmagomedov overtook light heavyweight champion Jon Jones' second spot, putting the former at number 3 pound-for-pound, MMANytt reported.
American mixed martial artist Daniel Cormier now tops the UFC ranking. In the pound-for-pound rankings Dustin Poirier and Stipe Miocic both moved up two places, landing at number eight and nine respectively.
Nurmagomedov and Poirier will meet at UFC 242 on September 7 in Abu Dhabi.
