UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will defend his title against former interim champion Tony Ferguson in Brooklyn on April 18, 2020.
Khabib signed his contract already, according to an Instagram post by his manager Ali Abdelaziz.
Nurmagomedov and Ferguson, ranked #1 and #6 in the UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings, have been slated to fight four times already in their careers, but have never shared the octagon.
The Russian is undefeated from 28 professional MMA fights.
Ferguson hasn’t lost since 2012. Now the American is on a brilliant 12-fight win streak.
