Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) reigning lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is contemplating a professional boxing bout against American Floyd Mayweather, Nurmagomedov’s father and coach Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov said.
"For this [bout with Mayweather] we need half a year of training with Vasily Lomachenko team. We are in talks with him and we’ll see," TASS cited Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov as saying.
Mayweather earlier announced that he would come out of retirement in 2020. At the same time, both the boxer and Nurmagomedov hinted at a possible fight.
