Nursultan Mamayev becomes world champion in taekwondo

The World Taekwondo Federation has named taekwondo fighter of the Central Army Sports Club (CSKA) of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Mamayev, the best taekwondo athlete on the planet.

This title was assigned to the Kazakh army athlete after a successful performance at the WTA Grand Prix in Manchester (UK).

He defeated Spanish taekwondo athlete Jesus Tortosa Cabrera in the men's weight category up to 58 kg and became the undisputed world champion in taekwondo.

Nursultan Mamayev is a silver medalist of the Summer Youth Olympic Games 2010, a participant in the London Olympic Games 2012, silver medalist of the Asian Games 2014, winner of the Summer Universiade and the 6th World Military Games 2015, multiple winner of a number of international rating tournaments, Interfax reports.
