Yesterday, the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, arrived on an official visit to Cuba.
According to tradition, he laid flowers at the monument to the national hero of island nation, Jose Marti, and then went to the Palace of the Revolution, where he met the chairman of the State Council and the Council Ministers of Cuba, Raul Castro, with whom, as the Prensa Latina agency reported, "discussed various topics on the international agenda in a warm atmosphere."
The Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov arrived in Havana together with Nursultan Nazarbayev, he met with the acting Cuban Foreign Minister, Marcelino Medina Gonzalez. "Both sides noted the good state of bilateral relations and expressed their common intention to strengthen and deepen the ties between Kazakhstan and Cuba," TASS cites the report of the foreign ministry of the island nation.
