Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen has congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on occasion of the Republic Day.
Al-Othaimeen congratulated President Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the national holiday - the Republic Day, wishing the president good health and happiness, and the people of Azerbaijan prosperity and well-being.
According to him, the OIC appreciates the close ties with Azerbaijan, the country's support for the Organization and its role in promoting Islamic solidarity, which is the goal of the OIC.
The Secretary General stressed that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will continue its efforts to promote common values and strengthen mutual cooperation among member states.
Al-Othaimeen further voiced confidence that President Aliyev will continue to support and contribute to the strengthening of cooperation among peoples of OIC member states and strengthening of Islamic solidarity.
