OPEC reappoints Secretary General Barkindo for 3 more years

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) decided that Secretary-General Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo would stay in office for a second term, OPEC president and Venezuelan Oil Minister Manuel Quevedo said at a press conference following the OPEC talks.

"I’m very glad that His Excellency Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo has another three years as OPEC secretary general," Sputnik cited Quevedo as saying. 

The next ministerial meeting of OPEC will take place on December 5.
