OPEC secretary general to discuss oil supply cuts in Venezuela, Ecuador and Iran

OPEC’s secretary general, Mohammad Barkindo, is set to travel to Venezuela, Ecuador and Iran in the coming days to discuss planned supply cuts, the Wall Street Journal reports.

In September, OPEC members agreed to bring their production to between 32.5 million and 33 million barrels a day as they sought to reduce historically high oil inventories.

The group hopes to hash out the details on November 30 in Vienna.
