OSCE Minsk Group informs about meeting between Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan

The OSCE Minsk Group has published an official statement on the results of the meeting between Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan in Switzerland, which was devoted to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. 

According to mediators, the main outcome of the meeting was to clarify the parties' positions during the tete-a-tete meeting.

According to Trend, the OSCE Minsk Group informs that the presidents discussed the frequent clashes on the frontline, as well as expressed concern about the growing number of casualties, including among civilians, as a result of the use of heavy weapons.

According to the Site of the Minsk Group, Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan supported the ongoing activities of the co-chairs, aimed at de-escalation of tensions on the front line, including development of a mechanism for investigating incidents, and reaffirmed their commitment to continue the peace dialogue at the highest level and format of the OSCE Minsk Group.

The Co-Chairs expressed their readiness to continue work with the parties in order to achieve a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
