The majority of the countries, members of the Parliamentary Assembly condemn the sanctions against the Russian MPs introduced by Finland, said OSCE PA Special Representative on Fighting against Terrorism, State Duma deputy Nikolay Kovalev, who flew to Helsinki in order to attend a meeting of the Standing Committee of the OSCE PA.
"The absolute majority of countries are members of the Parliamentary Assembly and they condemn Finland’s actions with the help of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Now we are preparing an appeal to the European Union for cancellation of these sanctions. In any case, these proposals will be heard. It is difficult to say how it will be implemented, but a lot of deputies made such suggestions, and several spoke in this way,’’ the RIA- Novosti cites Kovalev.
