During a press conference after the meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, US President Barack Obama stated that Turkey is a reliable partner of the United States.
According to him, during the meeting they discussed the issue of the fight against the terrorist group Islamic State (IS) on the Turkish-Syrian border.
The US leader also noted that the terrorist attacks in Paris are a discussion subject of the summit. "The attacks in France, just like the attacks in Ankara, are directed against civilians. These are attacks against the whole of humanity," Trend quotes Obama as saying.
