President Barack Obama stated that the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program has opened opportunities for constructive cooperation between the countries on other important issues.
"Is there a possibility that, by beginning consultations on this narrow issue, we could proceed to a broader discussion of, for example, Syria, and the ability of all parties to reach a political settlement that would preserve the integrity of the country, and would not allow Islamic State and other terrorist groups to grow? I think it is possible," Gazeta.ru quotes Obama as saying.
According to him, the agreement reached in Vienna is better than any possible alternatives.
