The alternative to the agreement reached with Iran would be war, US President Barack Obama stated, speaking at the American University in Washington.
"War may not happen tomorrow, not after three months, but soon," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
"Without the current agreement, Iran would be able to develop its capabilities in terms of the nuclear weapons program," the president added.
He also spoke in favor of lifting sanctions against Iran. "This will lead to a serious disruption of the American economy," Obama stated.
