US President Barack Obama has prolonged sanctions against Havana for another year, despite the normalization of diplomatic relations with Cuba.
"I inform you that we have issued a proclamation about changes and the continuation of the regime of the national state of emergency regarding Cuba. The proclamation recognizes the restoration of diplomatic relations between the US and Cuba, as well as the fact that the US continues to pursue the goal of consistent normalization of relations,'' he said in a statement published by the White House, RIA Novosti reports
