Obama tells about talks with Erdogan

US President Barack Obama spoke about his talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the UN World Conference on Climate Change (COP-21) in Paris.

"The United States supports Turkey's right to defend itself and its air space," he said, adding that during the talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan they discussed how Turkey and Russia can work together to de-escalate tensions "and find a diplomatic path to resolve the issue," TASS reports.

The US president urged both countries to concentrate on the fight against the common enemy – Daesh, Interfax reports.

The leaders of 150 countries gathered in Paris to discuss and sign a new agreement that should replace the Kyoto Protocol.
