The Armenian government has decided to simplify the procedure for obtaining citizenship of the country.
Amendments have been made to the procedure for the Armenian language's testing knowledge, as well as the Republic's Constitution for persons applying for citizenship, it became known on Thursday during the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers' meeting.
In addition to this, a person wishing to become an Armenian citizen will have to submit only an application form now, and not an application and a questionnaire, as it was before.
The decision was made to simplify administration and establish a single document. The necessary amendments were made to the "Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Armenia".
