The Yerevan Police have carried out the "Let’s clean the environment from drug addicts" operation and arrested a state official, News.am reports.
According to Shamshyan.com, on November 22, police detained several persons at Yerevan Vernissage on suspicion of possession and use of drugs.
Three of them were later released on a signature bond, whereas another one of them, Artur Hayrapetyan, 50, who works as head of the department for the Environmental and Natural Resources Inspectorate, was arrested.
A number of forensic examinations have been ordered.
Police are preparing a report on this case.
