As of 7:26 MSK, the price of a barrel of Brent crude dropped 0.34%, reaching $47.27. WTI oil prices dropped even more, by 1.1%, to $43.5.
The decline in world oil prices is associated with the publication of the US Department of Energy's new statistics on country's oil reserves. According to experts, this week they could increase by 3 million barrels and reach 479.6 million barrels per day. If this forecast will be confirmed, it would mean the preservation of significant excess of supply over demand in the world oil markets, RIA Novosti reports.
