Oil production in Kazakhstan decreased by 8 percent

Kazakhstan produced around 62 million tonnes of oil in the first eight months of the year, showing an 8.4% decline, the government's press service said.

"The adjusted forecast for oil production in 2026 is 96 million tonnes. A gradual recovery in oil production volumes is being observed",

the press service said.

Economic growth reached 4.1%, a trend that has held for three consecutive months. Kazakhstan produced nearly 100 million tonnes of oil last year.
