Oktay Asadov: there are no troubles between Russia and Azerbaijan

To date, there are no troubles between Russia and Azerbaijan, speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Oktay Asadov said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza at the polling station.

"When President Ilham Aliyev paid a visit to Russia, he said that if all countries have a relationship that Azerbaijan has with Russia, there will be no problems between the countries at all. That is, there are no troubles in our relationship with Russia, and it will only develop in the future. We show it through our actions," he stressed.

In addition, Oktay Asadov confirmed that Baku is looking forward to the visit of State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin. "Details will be announced after the elections, but I can say that the protocol service is currently working on it, and the speaker of the State Duma will visit Azerbaijan," the parliament's chairman said.

Eight candidates were registered at the presidential election. Six candidates of them were nominated from political parties - Ilham Aliyev from the New Azerbaijan Party, Gudrat Hasanguliyev from the Whole Azerbaijani Popular Front Party, Araz Alizade from the Social Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, Faraj Guliyev from the National Revival Movement Party, Razi Nurullayev from the Frontists Initiative Group, Hafiz Hajiyev from the Modern Musavat Party, one was a self-nominee - Zahid Oruj - and one candidate was nominated from the Initiative Group - Sardar Mammadov from the Azerbaijan Democratic Party.
