"Kara Karaev is a wonderful, phenomenal composer," Olga Rostropovich, president of the Mstislav Rostropovich Cultural and Humanitarian Programs Foundation, told to a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.
A concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kara Karaev took place today at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow.
"I remember him well, he visited us, worked with my dad and was generally a wonderful person," she shared her memories.
"Of course, I felt that I should be here today,” Olga Mstislavovna said.
