The number of Russian tourists visiting Oman jumped 300% year on year in 2023, Oman's Undersecretary of Tourism at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism Azzan Al Busaidi said.
According to him, Russian tourists reached 53,145 last year, compared with 13,000 in 2022.
“We aim to boost ties between Omani and Russian tourism operators and attract more Russian visitors to explore our beautiful country," Busaidi said.
The undersecretary informed that Oman is a multi-season destination known for its natural beauty and cultural heritage, attracting tourists from all walks of life.
