Million-year-old cave found in Adygeya

According to the Committee for Tourism and Resorts of Adygeya, activists of the Russian Geographical Society have found a new karst cave more than 1 million years old in the mountains of the republic.

"While paving the way for the tourist route near the village of Pobeda in the Maikop district, we found a previously unknown cave. The entrance was opened during the time of the works for the extraction of plaster,’’ Interfax cites the source.
