The opening ceremony of the XVI World Championship 2015 in water sports has started at the Ice Palace of Sports Tatneft Arena in Kazan. Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Kazan to participate in the ceremony.
2400 athletes from 190 countries will participate in the competition within the framework of the World Cup. 75 sets of medals will be raffled during the tournament.
The World Cup will last until August 9.
