Police are conducting a major operation against the youth wing of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the south-eastern Turkish province of Sirnak, bordering Iraq and Syria.
According to local television, SWAT teams of police and the counter-terrorism unit of the Office of Security cordoned off an area in the town of Cizre Nur.
