In Turkmenistan, more than thousand prisoners were granted amnesty. The corresponding decree was signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the state news agency reports.
The document was issued on the occasion of the holy night for Muslims, Gadyr Gidzhesi (the night of predestination). It is believed that a good deed done this night is valued more than any other.
