More than 17,000 conscripts will be drafted into military service in Kazakhstan this spring, the head of the recruitment directorate - deputy head of the organizational and mobilization activity directorate of the General Staff of the Kazakh Armed Forces, Azamat Dusimov, said at a press conference in Astana.
"This spring and autumn over 35,000 persons will be drafted into active military service in Kazakhstan, of them over 17,000 conscripts during the spring," Interfax cited Dusimov as saying.
