Istanbul police have detained 87 people on suspicion of arms trafficking during a special operation, the Haber7 newspaper reports.
Additionally, more than a thousand firearms were seized during the operation.
There are foreigners among the detainees, their names haven’t been disclosed.
Special operations will be carried out in other major cities and provinces of the country as well, Trend reports with reference to the newspaper.
