Italia's Michele Nicoletti was elected as President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) at the winter session in Strasbourg, according to PACE’s website.
He will replace Stella Kyriakides, who was temporarily elected to this post following the resignation of Pedro Agramunt in early October.
Vice-presidents of PACE were also elected at the meeting, APA reported.
