PKK militant killed in shootout with police in Antalya

A militant from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party was killed in an exchange of fire with police in the southern Turkish city of Antalya, local media reported. 

Shooting erupted at roughly 10 pm local time (19:00 GMT), after three PKK fighters reportedly opened fire at police officers in the Konyaalti district. 

The operation to neutralize the other two men is underway. There were no immediate reports of police casualties, Sputnik reports with reference to the Turkish newspaper Haberturk.
