PKK forces (banned in Türkiye) have commenced withdrawal from strategic positions in northern Iraq's border regions, according to a party statement.

"As of the evening of November 16, our forces in the Ezzab region have been withdrawn",

a PKK spokesperson reported.

The leadership stated this eliminates conflict risks in the area and represents a substantive contribution to Turkish reconciliation efforts.

The Ezzab region is located in Kirkuk Province in northern Iraq.
